Happy Tuesday! I was watching everyone this morning doing their cardio workout and I realized that none of them utilize heart rate within their workouts. Heart rate is an EXCELLENT way to measure your intensity and improve your cardiovascular fitness. If you are unsure how to figure out your training zones, please ask one of your JOHO staff. Many of your cardio equipment has heart rate monitors on the machine and they can give you a good estimate of how hard you are working. I also found a article on how to use heart rate to judge your runs. While this was made for runners, I think the concept can be used for all types of cardio exercises. New smart watches are even coming out with heart rate monitors programmed in for your convenience.
