It's time for a Mix It Up post! I've found lately that I've been too busy to hit the gym everyday and split up muscle groups when I lift. The solution is to instead do a couple full body workouts with exercises that work multiple muscle groups. That is why I have chosen a deadlift mixed with a bicep curl for the Mix It Up exercise. A single leg deadlift will work balance, core, upper back, shoulders, hamstrings, and biceps. When doing this exercise, try it first without any weight. You are hinging at the hips to create a flat table from your head to your foot. It's important to keep a flat back with your shoulders rolled back. Also, make a note to NEVER lock out any of your joints. Need an added challenge? Try doing this exercise while on the BOSU (either side)!
