I have to say this first! Don't stop reading just because I mentioned vegetables! The purpose of this article is to open your eyes to making greens a bigger priority over meat. Am I asking you to turn vegetarian or vegan? No. While there are many benefits to these diets, I think the first step to a healthier life is making plants a priority in your diet. This Registered Dietitian has a lot of really good points and is definitely opinionated about her last point, animal cruelty. Take it as you will and consider using substitutes such as lentils and beans for your protein.
