Hi there! I hope everyone is adjusting to back-to-work schedules, and beating the post- holiday blues! I know this time of the year can be stressful with deadlines fast approaching and getting back into the swing of things! Many times, as much as we wish it wouldn't, our stress affects our sleep. As we know, sleep is so important to functioning at our best. Even some habits that we think are helping our sleep, such as playing on cellphones or watching TV, can disrupt our sleep cycle long into the night. If any of you have taken classes with me, you likely know that I am yogi by training. There are many yoga poses proven to prepare the body for rest and help you wind down naturally. Today I have included a short yoga sequence (adapted from Fitness Magazine).
