Why EVERYONE should lift weights

Calling out to all men and women!!!!

Strength training is important!  I can't tell you how many conversations I have had with family, friends, and my own JOHO members about why they should incorporate weight lifting into their schedule.

I know what you're imagining ladies!  Those big bulky muscular women who look, quite frankly, more like men?  Let me tell you this.  Those females are far and few between and have a whole different set of goals then we do (like competition).  And to all of my men out there....  Some of you are reading this and thinking, well I already lift.   Then this message is for your wife, your sister, your father, your friends, etc....  Anyone in your life who thinks they are too weak to start lifting, too inexperienced, or that it won't help them lose weight.  This message is for them as well.

Take a look at this article.  There are so many other benefits to strength training besides "getting big."  Strength training improves your functionality and prevents loss of bone density and muscle mass.  Individuals of any age can benefit from strength training.  Imagine yourself at 80 years old.  Being self-sufficient for as long as possible is the ultimate goal.  Having strong muscles, ligaments, and tendons can help prevent broken bones if you fall or help you maintain your daily routine without the need for assistance.   If you are not sure what to do.  Ask a professional.  We went into this field to improve your health.

Lift to last longer!  Enjoy!
